RQ is a fast paced three-hour seminar that dives into three relational topics which are foundational to individual and relational health. RQ is beneficial for:
- Teens and single adults who don't have the gift nobody wants - celibacy! - and are hoping to one day get married.
- Couples who are dating and considering getting married.
- Parents who desire to help their children be personally ready for marriage and to know when they have found the right-person to marry.
- Youth leaders, counselors, pastors, and anyone who seeks to help teens or single adults and dating couples make better relational choices.
All RQ seminars are taught by Dr. David Gudgel. It’s a three hour seminar that’s broken into the following three sessions:
Session 1 - Lookin’ Good Before Looking
A dating or engagement relationship, or ultimately a marriage, is only as healthy as the individuals in it. Relational health is vitally connected to individual health. Before someone pops the “Will you marry me?” question, they need to ask, “Would I marry me?” This session focuses on what a whole and healthy person looks like and how to make progress toward becoming one.
Session 2 - Looking For “The One”
Almost all single adults say that when they marry they want their spouse to be their “soul mate.” That belief can produce a lot of anxiety and pressure to find that “one perfect person.” Then when someone thinks they’ve found the one, most choose to live together in an effort to be sure. If you’re looking for “the one,” or you think you may have found “the one,” this session will sooth your fears and offer some sound advice on what to do next.
Session 3 - When You Think You’re Done Looking
When a couple thinks they’ve found the right person and are ready to get engaged and married, there are several final factors that are important to consider before they make this life-changing commitment. This session will focus on some key indicators couples can use to confirm they are ready to “pop”, or answer, the “Will you marry me?” question.
